      Absolutely - by believing we can, we can make things happen. Belief is such a powerful noun, which embraces acceptance trust faith and confidence - all important elements in the fight against our disorder.

      OCD seeks to impose restricted rules, so we can't do things - keep or form relationships, go shopping, socialise, or whatever. 

      But the only thing actually preventing us doing these things is when we give belief to these OCD rules. 

      So we can do all these things, we really can. We can see off the anxiety response provoked by seeing it as the consequence of the OCD rule. When we see the rule as worthless and without fear, the anxiety response will ease away leaving us free to enjoy whatever it is we previously could not. 

      To get better can't needs to change to can.
