  1. ... I see your point. Thanks Polarbear
  2. I understand that Polarbear, it is better when I don't try to work it out, but as your put above that also makes me feel a bit worse is the word 'strange'... because these symptoms I've never experienced before, I am worried about them, which i think is understandable I'm worried that if I tell my gp she will think I'm crazy
  3. I can't stop worrying... I'm worried that it's a serious problem and my gp will think I've gone mad
  4. I think I'm trying to work out if I'm actually hearing something or not... googling never helps, and it's tough to work out... maybe that's the problem!
  5. Hi Guys My OCD has latched onto the theme of schizophrenia and I've been monitoring constantly for the last 2 weeks as to whether I am hearing or seeing things... anxiety effects my vision anyway (i get flashes and floaters and feel like I see things out the corner of my eye) however I've recently been experiencing a symptom in my left ear mainly, it feels like I need to pop it all the time... like it feels extremely open and it keeps going a bit tingly from anxiety. I'm not sure if it's just anxiety making my hearing hypersensitive and bringing distant sounds closer or whether I'm actually hearing things ? it's making me worry excessively, I did try to check after every time I thought I heard something but I stopped because I know that's a compulsion... I haven't met anyone else with these symptoms and it's freaking me out... however another OCD sufferer said that OCD can cause sensations that are intrusive? Anyone ? I'm at a wall here. HDC
  6. Glad I'm not the only one! Perhaps it is just a sensitivity thing? It made me really panic the other day... I could smell smoke in the cinema and thought I was crazy
  7. Thank you, I just think I'm on high alert...? I keep worrying about smelling things to that arent there...?! Which I've had before too -.- always something to worry about eh!
  8. Yes... so when I feel like I just heard something (it sounds like its inside my ear but very faint) what do I do?
  9. Sometimes I'm not even looking though but I definitely panic as soon as I think I've heard something and don't like it if I cant work out what it was
  10. The anxious feeling subsides if I try to let things go... however, it really does feel as though I am hearing something sometimes, it's scary.
  11. Thank you so much for this post... it made a lot of sense to me, I think you're right, someone also mentioned to me today that OCD can give you intrusions other than thoughts... can be feelings and emotions too... I didnt recognise this before!
  12. Hello Malina, yes I am struggling a fair bit- It feels so real sometimes like I was sitting in the vets convinced that I could hear beeping or whooshing or shhhh sounds and I cant work out where they're coming from... even if I go to the gp, they cant even test for that sort of thing can they? ... i had a nap in the car and feel a bit less anxious now... its horrible as I cant work it out
  13. It leads me feeling frozen with anxiety, and just wanting to go to bed
  14. I saw my gp and have spoken to other people who have OCD and have been through exactly the same thing... everyone seems to think its just anxiety and OCD. But I'm so so scared... I feel like I need to check to make sure that what I heard or saw was really there, if I don't do this the anxiety fades... if I do this I burn all over and totally withdraw into myself. I've been analysing for about a week now, and I'm getting no where
