  1. This man is just being a total idiot!!! just ignore him and any thoughts associated with him. hope you find a new job.
  2. Thanks for your guidance on this matter saz.
  3. It’s extracted from the cannabis plant, but without the mind bending ingredients. Or so I’m led to believe
  4. I just wondering if anyone has any experience regarding CBD oil? ive read that it helps with anxiety and also OCD. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this.
  5. Good morning. ? chat with your new psychologist, tell him/her how you are feeling. Hopefully they will be able to help.
  6. I’ve always suffered with a lack of self confidence. I can remember as a young boy of about 10, some 40 years ago, loving playing football, but hoping no one would pass to me in case I made a fool of myself, and people would laugh at me. This unfortunately, has stayed with me through the majority of my life. Always crumbling under pressure or messing up at the wrong time. after my latest course of CBT, I am more determined than ever to try to put this Achilles heel of mine behind me. I’m convinced that my OCD and lack of confidence, work hand in hand to destroy whatever happiness I have, so it’s not going to be an easy battle, but I am going to give it my best shot. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Great advice from two very knowledgeable people. Stay strong Rox, and try to accept its the OCD and not you that is making you feel this way. Try to do the opposite of what OCD wants you to do. Connect more with your son, don’t avoid situations that make you feel vulnerable. It takes a lot of hard work, but you can do this.?
  8. Sadly, even though mental health issues are now recognised and sympathised with more than ever, there is still stigma attached to said issues. I have support off some family members, but in the main, most of my family just don’t understand. So I totally see where you are coming from Phil. I really believe that things are going to improve greatly in the next few years, regarding raising awareness of mental health issues such as OCD, and similar illnesses. Hopefully then, people will get treated with the respect they deserve.
  9. Thank you taurean, I’m getting there. ?
  10. We do tend to blow things out of proportion, it’s part of the ocd. give yourself a break and just try to enjoy Christmas the best you possibly can. Regarding other people thinking your a weirdo, point 1 sod them if they do. point 2 they are probably so busy this time of year, that they wouldn’t notice even if you had acted out of character or differently. we are all unique individuals, all with different traits. Try to accept and be proud of who you are . Xx
  11. Christmas certainly seems to interact badly with ocd. Im having a day where I want to confess to things, just to ruin Christmas. Bloody ocd. so I’ve just taken Alfie moon my x terrier for a walk and I do feel much better. Just remember guys distraction and exercise can help. hope everybody is having the best day they can possibly have.
  12. Your therapist will have heard it all before. I told my therapist I was having gay thoughts about him, ( my ocd covers everything sexual) . He didn’t bat an eyelid. the more you open up the better.
  13. Cbt for ocd can be very difficult, but very rewarding. im just about to finish my cbt and I’m finally getting used to going with my thoughts and accepting that I’m not a bad or evil person. its not easy but you can do it. ????
  14. I think sometimes it can be difficult to know if you are suicidal or it’s an ocd theme. earlier in the year I thought I was suicidal but in fact it was my ocd playing tricks on me. It can be very difficult to tell the difference in my opinion.
