Cmck43
Hi I work as a teacher. Every term I miss the odd day at work because so much of my job is about making good judgements. In the last six weeks I have missed one and a half days. Most days I am anxious and ruminate but go to work anyway. On certain days though I just feel that I can't trust that my judgement will be good enough so I don't go in to work. Is this a good way to go?x Link to comment
PolarBear
I would say it's not a good way to handle the situation. Mostly because it's okay to make the odd bad judgment. We're all human. None of us is perfect and no matter how hard we strive to, we can't always make the best decisions. On another note, it sounds like you are letting your OCD dictate how you live your life. This is very, very common. We have a bad day with our OCD, we want to crawl under a rock. But pushing forward is very important. You can't let OCD win. You've got to put your best foot forward (even if your best foot isn't all that great) and move ahead. Link to comment
