HOCD v Not accepting your sexual orientation

What is the difference?  I seem to have a mix of the two.  Many things point to me being gay but also many things point to me having hocd. I'm 34.

Hi Dave,

Am I right in thinking you have used the forum before?  If so, I fear we have been down this road with thread after thread along the same lines many times before, and for some reason the advice we're offering is not helping you.

One big difference is that ocd makes causes us a lot of suffering (torture)

While our sexual orientation is something that gives us joy.

Something I read is that actual gay people dont fear the idea of being gay, but the idea of of social/familial rejection, whereas HOCD sufferers fear the ides of being gay altogether, along with the aforementioned rejection.

Hi Dave,

I see you posted another topic overnight, which my mod team removed because of adult content. But I also noticed on the two threads I have asked if you have used the forum before you have not responded.  My concern is that you have posted the same question about your sexuality on the forum hundreds of times over the last few years, and simply either are unable to or refuse to take on board the excellent advice you have been offered.

I am unable to allow these threads 'I don't think it is OCD' to continue, for your sake as much as the forum.
