Younger people with OCD

Recommended Posts

This post is no way intended to be dismissive about the suffering that ANYONE of any age can through with the horrors of OCD BUT if you were "diagnosed" 40 years ago or even 20 years ago you would POSSIBLY have ended up voluntarily in a psychiatric ward if your issues were "chronic". I have posted the same thing before. No internet, no forums, books? Hmm. In my view take on board the advice - not reassurance - long-term sufferers have to offer or read Claire Weekes - "They are only thoughts and no-one need every be BLUFFED by a thought". It's hard I KNOW -but there are so many cool people here who have been there and bought the t-shirt. None of us are unique - despite what is going on in our heads. Just a thought, best wishes, Phil.
