Clairef
My 12 year old son has just been diagnosed with OCD and we are having a hard time as a family coping. His rituals are taking over his every thought and being in his own home is unbearable. He has now asked to move out of his bedroom into a spare room because of his window and the need to keep looking in it. I'm not sure whether to let him or tell him no. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you cxx Link to comment
carolj
Hi Claire and welcome to the forum. You could let your son move into a spare room, but wth the way OCD controls things, you will probably find that there will be a problem with that room after a short period of time. Presumably a spare room has a window also? You say he has only just been diagnosed. Is he on the waiting list for treatment? Carol Link to comment
