Went out into town yesterday and ending up doing lots of compulsions about harming people while I was out.

I was left with one thought of harming someone thought I had got over it but I want to go back and check today. I keep thinking of excuses to go to that area but really just want to go and check. The problem is it won't just stop at the one check

I am due to go on holiday tomorrow and feel as if I have to get this out of my system before I go or I will just ruminate while on holiday and ruin it.

Should I allow myself to give in, or be firm and take the chance on holiday?

Look, if you go back and check, there is no guarantee that you won't ruminate over it anyway while you're on holiday.

You've got to take a stand and say enough is enough. You also have to get your ruminating under control. It's a slow process but it can be done.
