Zazoo
So a small victory for me today, I went to my nephews rugby practice with lots of kids around and managed to make it through with minimal OCD issues and rumination (I didn't go last week because I was too nervous too and it would have just been me). Now I went with my mom and I find I've been relying on her for a decent amount of support but not necessarily reassurance over the past few months. I do visit my folks almost everyday either for coffee or to help out as the family home is also a safe spot for me to go and where I can relax. Is this a good or bad thing in terms of recovery? Is it just a more subtle version of assurance seeking? in advance. Link to comment
PolarBear
Eventually you have to go out where there are kids on your own. That said, you need to learn to walk before you run. Link to comment
PhilM
To me that's a massive victory. To go the practice with the fears I relate to 100 per cent and minimise your mental reassurance "techniques" is fantastic even in company. A big from me. Best wishes, Phil. Link to comment
