How???? do you stop ruminating?

It feels like my 'what ifs' are all consuming, like they are all I think about, completely debilitating. All I do is ruminate and I KNOW I have to stop it to recover. But how do you stop ruminating when the doubts about my character are constantly with me?

I don't see how I can stop asking myself if I am bad.

You have to stop asking if you're bad. You've been doing it for how long and where has it gotten you?
