Angst
I was travelling on a tram on Sunday afternoon and a fight broke out between two young men. The action moved closer to my seat and one of them took out a large hunting knife. The sweeping action of the knife used by the knife man came quite near to me. I just managed to slip away to another part of the tram. And got off at the next stop. I think that I handled the situation well. But feel nervous about public transport. Any ideas about managing these feelings? Link to comment
Ashley
My advice is jump back on the next tram you can, and just face it head on. It's a bit like falling off a horse and they say get straight back on I guess. Link to comment
Angst
Thanks for the advice Ashley. I have used the tram, train and bus since. But on buses prefer to position myself close to the driver. I have tried to limit checking behaviour - being too alert for trouble. Link to comment
