ocdsufferer85
So my homework this week is to not ask for reassurance. We had a good CBT session...and then a day later I feel the fear and doubt building, I've managed today to not ask though or look it up, I'm trying to say no...its ocd...I'm not interested. Its hard. Isthisreality
I know it is really hard. But you can do it! Link to comment
Caramoole
Of all the compulsions I found this the easiest to break. Much of my reassurance seeking I found was habitual,, almost automatic. Once I made my mind up to stop, I did. For the first week I found myself wanting to ask but stuck doggedly at not doing and keeping It really was worth the effort. Give it a try and see if you can break the habitual reaction. Good Luck, you can do it Link to comment
PolarBear
I'm glad you are taking steps toward recovery. They won't be easy steps but they'll be well worth it. Link to comment
