The actor Sanjeev Bhaskar, (he's the guy from Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars!) joined in and took a shelfie for OCD! Great to see a celeb getting involved and taking the time to show support to OCD sufferers and raising great awareness at the same time. x

Started my therapy yesterday. Think it went well. Second session on Friday. Apart from starting the CBT side, my therapist wants to start to get to the origins of my OCD. She has a theory that it may be related to the death of my mother when I was relatively young as this coincides with its first occurrences. I've never considered this before, and I know that this could be very emotional for me, but am prepared to go down this route if it is going to help me beat the OCD

That's ok but I wouldn't spend too long seeking causes, time is better spent I think on mapping out the current triggers and manifestations, and how to tackle them with the CBT

Been on medication for 5 weeks now since seeing my GP, had my consultation, CBT starting on Monday. Still off work. Feeling in limbo at the moment as the main reason I'm feeling better is that i'm away from work and that's where most of my problems lie. Can see a way forward, but it's a slow process. Moan over :)

What are your problems at work Uppy65? You may be able to use the Equality Act 2010(like I have) to obtain help and support from your employer in the form of "reasponable adjustments" to workloads, nature of work etc, problems with personnel or working practices.
