Guest Mummyto2boys&agirl
I'm going to be brave and go swimming on Sunday. I love swimming but I've not been able to go for 2 years due to contamination issues. I've really missed it I used to go twice a week it's the only exercise I enjoy/doesn't cause me pain and I know exercise will help with my anxiety & ocd so I'm biting the bullet as I've been feeling pretty rubbish lately and something needs to change. I also suspect when I start my cbt they're going to tell me to go anyway? I am going to be taking one step forward and 10 back though if I have to all but pour bleach on myself before I touch the kids when I get back or am I ok to tackle one thing at a time? PolarBear
Mom, recovery is about small steps. Just going and being in the moment, regardless what you feel you need to do after, is perfectly fine. Link to comment
