OCD charm

I think a silver coin charm would be a really nice item to be able to buy. I think something wearable is great- to remind you of your inner strength and think positive thoughts, it also reminds you of the nature of OCD and what it is capable of. I like the idea of the little rubber bracelet currently available and I highly regard anyone who wears it publicly, but for anyone who is discreet with their illness (it is called the secret illness)then a charm might be a nice thing to wear under your clothes, as a necklace.

I would make it tactile, so that you can hold it when troubled and have a side to reflect the beast of OCD- a demonic type figure and then a positive/strength inducing side indicating the strength we all hold inside. Just an idea...

It's a nice idea, I already wear a symbolic necklace and it does definitely speak volumes to the wearer. I think symbolic jewellery is a lovely idea, whatever it's about. It helps us identify as a person.

That sounds like a good idea Shannon, like the idea people could hide it if they want.

Does anyone know if OCD-UK does branded tokens for shopping trolleys (the pound coin size ones)???

I like the idea.

I wear male jewellery - makes me feel good plus part of Essex culture!

I have a little bull (for taurean) I sometimes wear on a chain round my neck - why not another charm?

P.s. I am sitting in my car awaiting my ear specialist appointment, and I am wearing my OCD-UK lapel badge!

Hi Taureen,

I PM'd him. At the end end of the day I figured out myself he was the person to suggest it too!!

What are others thoughts, would you buy one. I also would go for the charm idea.
