Guest messihead
So I'm just out of therapy, and my therapist says I need to conquer this and stop my compulsions and that it's really got a grip on me... We spoke about how and why I have to do this.. my main thing is stopping reassurance seeking and confessing. Any tips wot to do? How not to do this? Make it easier? Stop thinking the worse is going to happen? Please open to ideas! Link to comment

Guest messihead
I'm doubting things that do matter though. I'm not taking meds at Mo as pregnant. I'm just really struggling. It's beyond fair. I'm just so low with it all Link to comment
PolarBear
Stopping compulsions comes down to willpower. You have to force yourself not to perform them. When an obsession pops up it can help to keep busy. Go do something that requires some thinking. You can also work toward stopping. That means delaying compulsions after an obsession for a set period of time then, over time, lengthening the period of time. You also must know what all of your compulsions are. You have a checking compulsion also, checking phone logs, etc. Good luck. Link to comment
