Guest Eiko
My OCD focuses on my dogs getting poisoned. Today I ran into an acquaintance on the street as she was walking her dogs. As I watched in horror, one of her dogs ate something off the street. She shrugged and said "he'll eat anything." Moments before, one of my dogs had eaten something off the street and I was about to call in sick from work so I could stay home and watch him for signs of poisoning. I was shocked at my friend's lack of concern but in a way it helped. I thought, her dogs are old and have survived her nonchalance. Maybe my dogs would survive if I loosened my grip. I went to work!
