Caramoole
....and is your friend a Doctor? Is she an OCD specialist...or even a sufferer? You're asking your friend to try and reassure you Joanne. This isn't about poo (hence I'm unwilling to discuss this aspect) it's about the doubt and about OCD. You need to recognise this, resist those urges, the doubt and keep ploughing forward. Don't buy back in. It's the same old, same old. Link to comment

Caramoole
Ok I know your right I will keep fighting on thanks It's so important you do Joanne This is what happens, it's common to find some impetus, to feel fired up, to think "Yeah, I can do this"....and we start to challenge and fight back.....then a couple of days on that same old thought, doubt comes back and suddenly we panic. This is an important point in our progress.....not to cave in and fall back into old methods. This is where you really have to think "I hate it when it does this, it's scary....BUT, it's the same stuff, I'm going to recognise this and try and keep moving forward without the compulsion" Link to comment

Caramoole
It's at the point where it really strikes hard that you have to pause and regroup. You sort of have to take it on the chin, relabel, resist, wait and then try to keep moving forward. Every time you try that you make new progress. So sit with that first impact, try and resist, breathe and keep going Good Luck Link to comment
