Guest Sisyphus
Because I' am so hot, my OCD is not having as much of an affect on me, has anyone else experienced heat that seems to turn down the volume of there OCD? I've never the heat makes much difference to my OCD. But when it's really hot I think I try to duck as many compulsions as possible or at least deal with them in the most economical fashion possible, because otherwise I get all hot and bothered in no time at all and it's just unbearable. I remember getting into trouble at work like that. Dehydrated, sweating too much. Gross. Not always a choice though as you know. It's just that I think I automatically find myself trying to reduce how much of that stuff I do as soem kind of survival mechanism. Also I have noticed that being in the sun as opposed to being in doors usually improves my overall mood and outlook - vitamin D maybe? - so perhaps that does have a secondary effect of reducing anxiety and therefore reducing triggers? So you could be onto something there Phili Link to comment
