Out of date (non alcoholic) wine!

Feeling worried! Someone gave my partner a bottle of non alcoholic red wine a few weeks ago. Not something we would ever choose to purchase or drink. My partner decided to open it and try it just to see what it tasted like. Both him and myself had a sip. I then looked at the bottle and noticed the best before date, which was "08/2012". Now I am in a bit of a panic and am worried that it might harm us. It was only a small swallow, but still. If it was alcoholic drink, I guess it wouldn't have bothered me do much as alcohol generally kills any bugs -but being non alcoholic, this isn't the case.

I am just looking for some advice and support.

Unfortunately that is reassurance.

The wine may have been bad. That's what you have to live with. This isn't about whether the wine was okay to drink or not. It's about your reaction to a normal, everyday situation. Or should I say overreaction. Sit with the anxiety and let it pass.
