The BIG move - My story

Recommended Posts

Hi from my new home and its a house, a lovely house, it was such a big day that I thought I would write what happened here.

It all started at 1am when I got up. Had a massive panic attack but it was the only one of the day.

I put my make up on, which I have not done for many years and plan to do daily now and got changed at about seven, which was rush and tear as the moving men arrived at half eight and for me it is a palava getting changed.

We were not fully packed, run out of boxes, bags and sellotape, I helped clear up, hold bags and comfort the cat but was generally useless. I hid in the Bathroom when the removal men took the stuff from the living room and my feet were killing me, I must have bought the worst shoes in creation.

I kept alternating between the standing up and when my feet cramped, sitting on the loo seat until my bum was numb.

Then they didn't have a big enough van, I knew they wouldn't so they have had to pick up and load of stuff and will deliver it friday, something that added to my stress.

Anyway my brothers friend came to pick us up, I liked him he was nice, swears a lot though LOL, I never heard swearing like that except in a movie. I managed to lean on his shoulder and arm to get out the car and down the steps O.O

I looked outside while my brother was digging up plants and looked up at the tree it was so big and overwhelming that I panicked but went outside on my next try.

I even stayed in the car on my own and chatted with my brothers friend. The care journey was...and eye opener...so much world, I suddenly realised I wanted to be part of it...It was overwhelming...

The hardest part was parking at Morrisons and going through the highstreet as I became awkward and felt like everyone was staring at me.

We arrived at the house and everyone was around but I got out the car and with help made it to the house, I'm scared of the kitchen but other than that the house is lovely.

I spoke to the neighbour who is really nice and I spoke to the man putting in the cooker!

Then I fell asleep LOL

I have since, bent down to pick up tissue and I am forgoing some of my padding! Though the stinging doubts are coming back T.T and I am physically shattered LOl

So that was my day

Phili so glad you got online quickly as I was thinking of you yesterday.

What an amazing day you had and the best part of your story was when you said about the World 'I suddenly realised I wanted to be part of it...'

Enjoy your home, you deserve it :)

Phili.......I am so proud of you

I'm not sure if everyone is aware of how your life's been and the problems/history that you have and that this is only the second time you've been outdoors in twenty years!! It is massive and brave and fantastic.....and now you've done this, you can do anything girl. This is just the start. The road may be long, it may have many twists and turns and hazards.....but yesterday you stepped out there and started that journey with huge courage. I'm so chuffed for you.

I hope you and your Brother enjoy every moment in your new home.

.......Oh, and don't even start to make a problem out of the kitchen......get in there today, several times a day and knock that one of the head from day one :fish: Things change from today.

Well Done You

Caramoole :)

Yea, I'm gonna park...wish it was with Louis Tomlinson :kiss2: :arf2: :slap: :nono:

But yea, I sat outside Morrisons so, I can't go in the store but sitting in the car is a good start right?

And I was sorta OK while my brother was gone
