Hello

My name is Oliver. I'm a 13 year old suffering quite bad with my ocd. However my type according to myself is different from all the others.

So basically I believe God is in my head. Not living there just communicating. And I am a human in heaven talking to him.

God is powerful. He can make anything happen. So I have to tell him that something I want and he can make it happen. So sounds simple right? Just walk to him and ask. Unfortunately its not that simple....

You see I have to do things in my ocd to make sure God gets the RIGHT thing I want instead of the wrong thing. If I tell him the wrong thing then that will happen.

I've named these "tasks" to make things easier for u.

So the task is when i have to use my mind to make sure god gets the right message. Also to do something in real life sometimes.

I tend to get a feeling that i call "good".

I feel good in a part of my body which makes me feel I have to do something with it. And i must do that thing or god will get the wrong message.

Ik that the whole god thing isn't tending to be part of ocd but i also have autism which according to my doctor makes me think a character is behind the ocd.

Thanks for reading :). I really appreciate it :).

Best of wishes and have a good rest of the evening :).

Oliver

no replies? No worries :). I can handle it :).

Oliver ur ocd is sounding as if its disturbing u. You need CBT. Some patients aren't able to get it as they are too ill. Although I believe u r well enough.

Best of wishes

Hi Oliver

Welcome to the forums.

I've not heard of your type of OCD before but there are probably other people with something similar. If you're religious it's not surprising that it's focused on god. Have you had any treatment for OCD?

If you post this on the main forum you'll get loads more answers. Not many people read this .

Hi Oliver,

I was 15 when I started having religious ocd. I struggled with it for a long time not knowing what it was and I am glad you are able to talk about it and know what it is you are dealing with. You sound very intelligent. My eldest daughter age 14 has autism too but she has not developed ocd with it. Ocd can be part of autism as well as something that can happen on its own.

I agree with the idea about CBT. Sometimes pastors/vicars can work with other therapists such as psychologist to help with things like religious ocd - it may depend on where you live though and who is in the area. You could ask if there is a chaplain attached to any hospitals you attend and if they know enough about ocd and autism to be of any help.

I am glad you are posting here - you've probably already discovered there is a forum for young people here.
