First of all, I want to say sorry for any mistakes I make. My English isn't the best and well, **** it.

So, hi. I'm Mary, I'm 18 years old and I've got an OCD according to my therapists. It's not sure yet, but she said a site like this could help me.

Intrusive thoughts, compulsive counting, superstition and controlling; the full programm. I hope to find some...well, I guess friends would be nice. Some people that might understand me.

So yeah, hi everyone.

Of course. I love to read, and reading stuff that might help? Sounds amazing.

Sorry forgot to reply the other day. Okay Mindfulness by Williams and Penman is a really good book for meditation and disengaging form thoughts. Also this may sound strange but Tuesdays with morrie is a beautiful book that just gives hope and humanity when we are having hard times eventhough it has nothing to do with OCD its a great comfort and a fantastic read. Also any of these by Pema Chodron, The places That Scare You, When Things Fall Apart, Start Where you Are. They again are nothing to do with OCD but are Buddhist texts about life, suffering and acceptance and again are just beautifully written and offer a lot of wisdom.

Cheers

:haha:
