The OCDJ
When your tired or really anxious and OCD is at its peak does anyone else feel so powerless to it. It's like your own voice no longer exists and you can't find a safe feeling no amount of reassurance is good enough. It's hard to differentiate in your mind what's going on. I find this so scary! Does anybody else experience this? X Link to comment
Guest
No amount of reassurance will ever be good enough, because that's what OCD feeds on. Actually, maybe there is such amount - one. For example when there is a health concern, it's ok to go to a doctor. But when they say everything's fine - that's where it should stop really. The more you try to seek for reassurance after that, the more will you worry and the anxiety will increase. As for your question, yes, I and many others here experience this, that's why OCD is so hard to fight against. The key in my opinion is to accept that this happens and probably will happen in the future. And of course, treat it with CBT when it happens. Edited November 30, 2015 by Guest Link to comment
Handy
It seems almost like an alternative universe. Link to comment
