Guest Emarbe
Hello I'm Mike or Emarbe short for my initals which is MRB I believe that I have OCD but I've had strong feelings of making things straight and touching things twice etc when I went into Waitrose the other day, and I remembering that I don't wanna sit on a seat a another person sits on before me just in-case of some dirty germs are on there. I chew on plastic I have no idea why. I think I've been like this for at least 8 years. - I've not been diagnosed but I also have to habit of collecting and hording of books "Biblomania." I rang up the MHC in my area and asked if they can do an assessment, but I have to go my local GP where my Mum works to get referred. But I don't want my parents to worry. I just don't know what to do. Edited April 17, 2014 by Emarbe Link to comment

Guest Sisyphus
Hey Emarbe, I guess you could change GP, but presumably with your mum working there, she'll pick up on this and that will raise questions anyway. This is probably not possible but I wondered if you could call the GP's receptionist, ask for a phone number for the CPN, speak to the CPN directly, explain your plight, and see if they know of a way around this - perhaps meeting you at a different doctor's surgey in your area or something?
