Hi everyone :)

My story... 4 years ago my friend stole £1800 out my bedroom over 3 months (pub job paid cash wage slips/ bank statements didn't add up) at the time I got obsessed with doing calculations but I thought I got over it but recently I've had problems with checking that doors are locked sometimes having to drive home to check went dr and on citalopram as it was making me so anxious bn referred for cbt but not heard anything im not checking doors atm but I've got really bad with my partners phone if she gets a message I have to know who and why it annoys her when I ask she says dont you trust me then ill stay awake til she's asleep and check her phone I try not to but I feel anxious until I do no matter how hard I try I can't not check and thoughts come into my head and a whole scenario will play out I found out my mum was having an affair when I was 14 thru reading her texts so maybe it stems from that this is my first serious relationship, then there's asking ppl at work if I've done something right seeking reassurance maybe, I also do things like say the opposite in my head otherwise something bad will happen, talk thru conversations in my head say with a dr to try and predict their response this can go on for hours, I find it hard to throw things away I worry ill forget a memory if I don't see it again, get random pictures in my head like hurting my puppy which disgusts me I'd never hurt him so ill hurt myself to counteract the thought idk am I mad going bk to the dr this week but I've only told her about the door thing not the rest sorry for the ramble xx

It's okay Spudsey, I read OCD.

It sounds like you may have OCD forming. The best thing you can do is be brutally honest with your doctor about uour thoughts. Hopefully you are referred to a specialist who can diagnose what's going on.

Know that you are not alone, you're not crazy and there is help available.
