Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Often referred to as the secret illness, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a condition where a person will experience repetitive, intrusive and unwelcome thoughts, which will usually cause the person to carry out repetitive behaviours.

Family, Friends and Carers (FFC)

This is the place for parents, partners, friends and carers of OCD sufferers to discuss and offer mutual support and understanding to each other.

Young People

This is the place for young people to talk about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) with other young people under 19.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) Support Forum

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is often called the 'imagined ugliness' disorder. It is an anxiety disorder whereby a person is abnormally preoccupied with an imagined or slight defect in their physical appearance.

National Health Service (NHS) and Dept of Health (DOH)

An opportunity to discuss and debate the National Health Service (NHS), Department of Health (DOH) and all relevant health related papers and policies relevant to mental health.

OCD in the Media

For many of us, initial awareness of our illness came through coverage of OCD in the media. This forums provides you with the opportunity to provide constructive feedback on media coverage of our illness, but also an opportunity for you to register your interest in working with OCD-UK to further advance awareness of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
