mantra

A mantra is a set of words repeated many times to make a person feel better. So, "certainty in an uncertain world" is probably the opposite of a mantra!

"Feel the fear and do it anyway" would be a good approach but I'd beware of using mantras in OCD as they can be come a compulsive ritual .

I use a mantra in buddhist meditation, but I choose very simple ones and use the mantra purely for a short while as a focus, then switch back to focusing on the breath.

I use something like the word "peace" or "relax" because the word symbolises the mind body sptrit sttae I am looking to achieve.
