Guest Daydream95
I have been taking 40mg of Fluoxetine for the past 8 weeks. I felt like my anxiety was getting worst and that after weeks off intensive therapy I was ready to come off them. Therefore for the past week I have gone down to 20mg. My doctor has told me to do another week of alternative days and then to completely come off them. Since coming down in dose my health anxiety has gotten worse. I have been having severe crushing chest pains. I was just wondering if anyone who has come off fluxoetine could give me some advice. Link to comment
Jack Russell
Hello Daydream. I took 60mg Fluoxetine for about a year, as I did maximum dose of other SSRI's. I suffered chronic head and neck aches whilst on all of them. The cons vastly outweighed the pros. The head aches continued for a long time afterwards too, but did eventually stop. So hang on in there, your symptoms should fade away. Regular painkillers were not working, and I was still getting anxiety. So for a period of time I was given Diazepam, to relax any muscle pain at the back of the neck, and to also ease the anxiety. Which again for me, never worked, I have a bit of a resistance to medication. But talk to your doctor, and see what they say. Good luck Daydream. Link to comment
