Links to Helpful Threads and Information

Recommended Posts

This thread will be updated by the moderators on a regular basis, with links to various helpful threads on the forum, and other useful resources. The first place we recommend all new forum users to visit before posting is the OCD-UK website, where you will find a whole range of resources, and information about the condition and treatments.

The OCD-UK website

We do recommend spending some time reading the OCD-UK website before posting on the forum, the website will contain many of the answers to the questions that you may well have right now. In addition to the main OCD-UK website, using the search facility here on the forums you may also find many threads and discussions on the subject, and your form of OCD.

In times of crisis we all need someone to turn to, and for many of us, being able to turn to people here on the forums will be sufficient, but for some you may need support that is outside of our capabilities from other support networks. We hope these telephone numbers and contacts will help you in times of crisis.

With a myriad of OCD treatments available and online offers of quick fix cures for OCD, I decided to take a look at what people can do when trying to find a therapist privately.

This article offers guidance on choosing the right therapist and advice on maintaining the therapeutic relationship when things go wrong, and can be applied to both private and NHS therapists.

Click here to read the article for Finding A Therapist or I have attached in PDF format.
