Justine Posted October 30, 2014 Share Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) Ive had a reasonably stressful year with a big restructure at work and an operation recently which caused my ocd to return after many years of being mild. Previous two times cured with CBt alone and meds didn't help. This time had a couple of months off work which really helped initially but then reached a plateau so went back to work and have been back at work for 2 weeks now. General anxiety is down a lot thanks to CBt but ocd is resisting. I am managing to go to work and pick up my children from school everyday and look after them and go on play dates but all the time I have anxiety though no panic attacks since July. At work today they said I could have more time off if I needed it which made me wonder about that. Ocd isn't getting better, therapist giving slightly strange advice like put coloured stickers on everything and only check once when thoughts are imaginary and I need not to be checking at all. Has anyone got over contamination ocd and if so how did you do it? Fear is poo. Thanks for any help. Edited October 30, 2014 by Lily Link to comment

Guest JC86 Posted October 31, 2014 Share Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) I'm struggling with contamination ocd and its mega hard. Its probably the hardest thing ocd wise I've dealt with.
