Yrrow
To those of you with a partner/spouse, how honest are you about your OCD? How much do you share? What if you've tried and they just don't understand or downplay it? Or even trigger intrusive thoughts? Do any of you feel like you no longer have the ability to be in an intimate relationship anymore? No longer have the ability to be open? Link to comment
PolarBear
I am completely honest about all facets of my OCD. That is only 16 months old, however. Prior to that I hid it all, from everyone. I was very good at hiding my condition. It's much better now. Link to comment
Justine
I'm completely honest with my husband about it and am glad I am married. I think all you can do is be honest but seek professional help for treatment - having not had ocd for over 30 years I would have struggled to understand it. Link to comment

OCDCanuck
I was honest at the beginning with my wife. She know my symptoms - thoughts of harming her. She works in mental health so I'm sure she understands that OCD is a chronic condition but we don't talk about it very much. Link to comment
