Guest joe_123
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/first-ever-nhs-waiting-time-standards-for-mental-health-announced Anyone know any more detail about this? The Lib Dem website seems to say that you will be "guaranteed" to be seen within 18 weeks, but the actual gov.uk site seems to suggest they are investing money to improve the waiting times with 18 weeks being the target for depression/anxiety. Guest joe_123
Oops. I remember reading this a couple of weeks ago... From 1 April 2015 (to be fully implemented by April 2016), the new waiting time standards will be as follows: 75% of people referred for talking therapies for treatment of common mental health problems like depression and anxiety will start their treatment within 6 weeks and 95% will start within 18 weeks What's interesting is the IAPT Stats for 2013/2014 show on average 89% seen within 90days (~12/13 weeks) so maybe it's more about trying to bring the trusts that are flagging up to standard. Extra Note: My local trust had 72% seen within 90days, and the 28days percentage is 31% so I guess the worse trusts will see some of the money to try and improve the times. Link to comment
