Guest Taylor555
On Thursday night I went out with a few work colleagues. We all went on the train together, and when we got to the train station, I happened to notice a bin (one of the ones that has a lid on it that you have to lift to put rubbish into the bin. They seem to be commonplace here). I'm scared of bin germs, and at one point my colleague disappeared to throw something in the bin. I keep telling myself that it's possible that I didn't see a lid on that bin and that someone else could've lifted the lid for my colleague. I didn't clean anything that night because I couldn't. I couldn't exactly clean my colleagues hands for him, and it got to a point where he was brushing against me and touching the same things I was touching. He was "contaminating" everything. I read somewhere that most germs only live on your skin for 3 hours. I don't know how true that is, but I find that comforting sometimes. One of the things that is worrying me is the fact that I had my coat on that night, and earlier that day I was eating a cornish pasty. I got some of the pastry on my coat. I flicked it off, but I'm worried that there is some residue on my coat. I'm worried that the bin germs are now living in that residue. I've already "contaminated" everything now. It would be physicaly impossible to clean everything. I can't stop thinking about the bin germs though :'( Link to comment
PolarBear
It is possible he touched the bin. It is possible there were germs on the bin. It is possible he got germs on his hands then transferred germs to you. That is life. Every person on Earth deals with situations like that every day. That's the way things go. Stop over thinking the germs. Do not go cleaning everything. Those are compulsions and will do no good. Link to comment
