Emailing my BDD specialist Dr

Recommended Posts

I wanted to ask you guys opinion on this issue if it is ok?.I recently emailed my BDD specialist Dr who is an expert in this area and who has studied so extensively for many years.Recently I had an appointment with him in March just before he was meant to go on leave&I got a call from his assistant to have to change our appointment for early May.Although i really wanted to see my Dr I understood the change and he's been on leave and will be til he returns very soon.Anyway he told me if I ever need to ask him anything I'm always very welcome to email him of course it's much better seeing someone in person but I emailed him recently about having a bit of a bad BDD attack on the train and I asked him for his advice in those situations.

He told me this is an issue that is best discussed with my Psycchologist,I just thought as he's an expert in this area he may be able to offer some good avice of what may help me?.The situation was I was on the train and I felt relaly horrible with my BDD this particular day as there was many school children mostly or nearly I should say all attractive or many females.Of course they didn't intend to do anything to me and usually I handle these situations quite well but this day as I have many times in the past fely absolutely horrible for a little while.I really didn't want to email my Dr but I thought well why not and may be better to consult him?.When he said to me to talk about it with my Psychologist I felt a fair bit low but I tried my best don't get angry about it as I know with any such anger it can really tick off my OCD badly. So really that's why i've tried so hard for so long to not even get angry at all anymore.
