Stepping down from Remeron (Mirtazapine)

Just wanted to thank you all for your responses to my post about stepping down off a medication. I have such a love/hate relationship with my meds. I suppose it's the sedative effect and the weight gain that had me thinking it was a good idea to step down. I had one unsuccessful attempt at going off it completely after the recommended step down. I've not given up hope though. In the meantime, I am at a much lower dose and I have now included daily exercise into my plan to help rid myself of the unpleasant side effects and hopefully prepare me for the final farewell to Remeron.
