Treatment dilemma

I was listening to him and was actually concidering it until he mentioned the crèche!! I hadn't concider ed childcare! I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be putting monkeyfrog in the crèche for a few hours, it is ofsted recommended, but I'm not sure about it. And what good is the treatment if I spend the whole time worrying what's happening in the crèche???
Also, I don't know if it's the right kind of treatment for me, along side the cbt the follow 12 steps and encourage 'spiritual' connection. Don't get me wrong, I'm a regular church goer but I'm not sure I believe in it, I go for my son as I think he should have an informed choice when he grows up. I had a fight with god and we've still not made up!
I can see the plus sides but I can also see the negatives. Hubby is quite keen for me to go but I'm not so sure. Dont know what to do

An addiction centre , spiritual connection .. isnt an alternative .... is it ? nope.
One would have to say, that its probably ( in my opinion) a bad option.
could you pass it over to ashley to look at?
ocd is an illness that can be overcome. KNOWLEDGE is THE POWER. gain as much as you can to beat this pathetic bully.
I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. I have accepted fear as part of life, specifically fear of change and fear of the unknown; and I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says, turn back, turn back, you'll die if you venture too far.

what do you think harri / from the knowledge you have gained over the years ?... is it the correct treatment for ocd ? ask him ask the gp, is it the correct treatment for ocd as set out in the nice guidlines? They off cbt as well, but you have to do all the other stuff too. He said its treating the OCD like an addiction! I'm not sure either way

It's a bit difficult to advise, but there are a couple of points of my own opinion I'd like to make:-
1) OCD is not caused by a lack of spirituality / religion. Whilst some people might find solace in their beliefs, I would be wary of anyone suggesting it as a cure for OCD.
2) OCD is not an addiction. An addiction begins as something which is pleasurable, which later turns into a habit and a problem. OCD rituals were never pleasurable in the first place. They are not something that the sufferer carries out to achieve pleasure; rather something that is carried out to try to reduce bad feelings / thoughts.

because it isnt going to help one bit.zee and will probably be a complete waste of time. Why not give the options a try - you have nothing to loose and everything to gain!
thats why we have nice guidlines for the treatment of ocd.
