She is reading The Times, and any women's magazine I bring in, from cover to cover. 

But can't yet be bothered with the TV she has plumbed into her room. 

I think she is scared as it's a new system - Virgin - and works different to freeview. She is technophobic. 

But it can be used very simply, just like freeview, if that is all you want from it. 

So I will know she is really feeling better when she asks me to show her how to work it. 

Let’s hope over the next few days she will ask you to show her how to use it then and then we will know she is feeling much better  sending her my very best wishes and hope she makes a speedy recovery
