  1. I'm newly diagnosed and happened to be living in Newcastle so I came along - I'm much more comfortable with the thought of recovery now. Thank you OCD UK for organising this.
  2. I hope there are still places available at the end of the month when I get paid. I actually moved to Newcastle at the start of the year and have been very recently diagnosed with OCD, so it's a bit too much of a coincidence that the conference is here not to go!
  3. You're fine. It's totally normal and has happened to me before. Bear in mind that you'll probably feel it again if you keep thinking about it as it's a stress/anxiety thing. If it keeps happening by all means get it checked out but it's very, very unlikely to be anything sinister.
  4. I don't think you are. As a point of reference, I am a lesbian and I occasionally have fantasies of men. When I actually think about sleeping with one - and I did attempt it in person once - it doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. I think you are well within the straight side of things; a little attraction to your own gender is not uncommon but not talked about. It doesn't mean anything. Also I'm pretty sure I've heard of other people having obsessive thoughts about this subject. I used to about being straight! It's definitely influenced by OCD if nothing else.
