Ohhh yeah I forgot that was this weekend hope it's going well :)

It was excellent, so proud of all those whose efforts and freely giving of their time made it possible.

Longest journeys I discovered. Some Belgians, and a family who came by car from Worthing.

Wonderful to see parents supporting their children with OCD, young and old.

There are so many family out there who really do make an effort to understand and help their relatives and offspring with OCD.

Living with someone with OCD can be incredibly challenging of course. These people are very special.

I tried that injection; it helped with the OCD, but also gave my libido too big a boost!

So now I use a nasal spray called Becanase, or the Boots equivalent. Good result re the hay fever, doesn't make me sleepy, nor that unwanted side effect :)

Haha, what on earth do they put in that injection? Could be fun, will have a think

Hope the streets of London and Croydon remain clear next Monday and Tuesday, as I have a visit scheduled.

  6. Does anyone see someone fit jog past them and think 'oh I'd love to be that fit' but then just keep sitting there? lol

    1. taurean

      taurean

I suppose we do because it's easier to be apathetic than get off our backsides and make a commitment.

The amount of times I’ve thought this and it still remains just a thought :a1_cheesygrin:

Hope your keeping well Gemma and still doing well x

  7. If I give you advice, then it will always be what I think is best to do. It will always be what I would say to myself. I truly want you and me and everyone with OCD to get fit and well and show the world who they are missing.

Nice update Gemma. I wish for that too.

When sufferers emerge from OCD it's like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.

      More butterflies wanted.

(missed this)....  You're right, nobody but you can stop the compulsions, but the forum can help you understand perhaps, or at the very least be there for you.... get a post up!!!!

Sorry to hear this Gemma :( You are a wonderful support to so many people on this forum.  It'd be great if we could give you some support in return :)

      Gemma7

      Are you sure?

You know, the well known joke 'Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side'. It's a twist on that.

So you enjoyed it then

  10. You are allowed to be uncertain because everyone is.

    2. Ashley

      Ashley

How certain are you about that?

    3. taurean

      taurean

Maybe we should say it's quite usual to experience uncertainty (everyone would be an overgeneralisation)?

But what matters is how we deal with it. In OCD it becomes a major problem.

But to a non-sufferer it is just something to acknowledge, then move on.

      Gemma7

Uncertainty is a part of life – we all live with the uncertainty of death, illness or what will happen tomorrow. We have all learned or become accustomed to living with this uncertainty.

This is taken directly from Break free from OCD :)

      taurean

That's the problem with convertibles - to think you are getting your money's worth you have to keep putting the roof down :cold:

  13. Forum's looking really good Ashley, everything looks more bright and bold. Oh and thanks for the promotion

Really understand how you feel Gemma. When my brain churns with looping intrusions I am desperate for an off switch.

But there are other times when it's really peaceful and I feel calm and well. But I can't just wheel that state of mind on, though I dearly wish I could.
