Hey biscuitcat. Exhaustion from work is a whole lot better than the bad place yoy were in when you found our community.

I am so pleased for you :WootSign:

I've learnt one bad day doesn't have to mean anything. That thought alone has reduced my anxiety and really helped keep me on the right track. Thank you all for your support, it means the world to me.

Sounds like You handled that well bisctuitcat. She will prob sit back later and realise she was bang out of order. The fact you remained civilised sets a good example x

That's tough - but  good to see you have found a really good way of reacting to it. Well done you!

True, and I have been telling my wife that. She wants to know all about everything, and it is unnecessary. We don't need to know how the computer works, just that it does.

I can easily slip into overthinking and analysing if I am not careful, thinking too much too deeply, so the computer analogy is good for me too.

  9. I was dreading this weekend, but long walks and a relaxing evening yesterday eased the anxiety attack from Friday away. Do not engage in those compulsions friends!

      biscuitcat

My therapist had to tell me that, when I have a bad day it's so easy to negatively distort it. But not everyone can be super happy all the time, that would be weird!

      lostinme

So glad he did tell you, because now you've told me. It's so weird how I'd never even thought of it that way, but it's true.Thank you for sharing that with me.

Hi biscuitcat sorry your not feeling great right now, remember we all have good days bad days. Given time your anxiety will reduce, try to think of the positive thoughts and not pay attention to the negative ones. Hope you feel better soon.

      taurean

      Good advice there biscuitcat.

Don't connect with anything you recognise as driving the anxiety. And if there isn't anything identifiable, don't go seeking something to which to attach it.

It will pass, don't worry about it just leave things be and find a distraction - reading a book, watching an involved programme on TV.

Thanks Lostinme and Taurean. Feeling much better now, I haven't felt that badly in ages now. It just shows how far I have come since joining this forum, when this was a 24 hour occurrence.

You were referring to the suffering generated by performing OCD compulsions and I was thinking of the cure for the suffering OCD compulsions cause. But we're on the same wavelength.:)

Thanks Roy! I blame OCD a bit for not getting a first, but actually it probably made me work way harder than I would have done if it hadn't crept into my life.

Unfortunately it is navy, not a lovely mulberry colour. Fortunately it is the brand Mulberry, which I would never be able to afford new. And if I could I would never spend that much money on a dress!

    3. taurean

      taurean

My initial thought was brand mulberry, and you had a real good deal - then for some reason later I drifted off to the colour .

But navy is ok, isn't it?
