  1. I have never wrote anything on this before but seeing everyone else opening up about their struggles has inspired me. I was diagnosed not long ago and everything is very new to me. My support system at home isn’t the best because no one understands the struggle of having ocd, and without this support, I don’t see how things will get better. my worst compulsion is checking, I check everything from doors, windows, plug sockets too checking my social media constantly to see if I posted anything bad or offensive. My family and my friendships have been affected by this because no one wants to deal with me and whenever they are there when I do my compulsions, they always say “hurry up” or “just stop doing them and you’ll be fine”. i know that I make things worse for myself by continuing to give into my compulsions but I feel like I’m doing this all alone and no one understands me. Which is why I chose to write this because I know that there’s other people who understand and can help. if anyone has any tips for helping myself without the support from others, I would really appreciate it. <3
