Yes! For sure! This week will def be harder knowing that they are not running! Kirstie did and Claire and Gemma do such a great job! And you're right @BelAnnahaving that peer support from others that understand has been invaluable! In fact never in a million years would I have been able to walk into an IRL support group, but because it was online it was so much less scary and easier to access and has been integral to my recovery process. Hopefully they will find someone to take up the position and things will return to normal ASAP.

Thursday morning zoom support group
Faultybraintank replied to BelAnna's topic in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Hi BelAnna! Thank you so much for your reply! Im feeling a bit up and down at the mo! It's like when you make progress on your OCD all those other feelings like isolation and loneliness that you haven't had time or bandwidth to feel come flooding back in. Basically meaning as you get better you feel a bit worse first! LOL! Overall i am doing a bit better! How are things for you ATM? -

Hey all, Just thought Id make a quick post as i'm struggling a bit at the mo. Im feeling overwhelmed and stressed, and a bit let down as I have been pushing myself and it hasn't always worked. Ive got some trigging things coming up to and I know I need to deal with them, but i can feel the old shutting down behaviours sneaking in. How are all you guys doing? -
A Very Happy Update! :)

hey @ocdishell, I read your post yesterday but didn't have time to respond. I'm so sorry you have been feeling low the last week. ? Your hierarchy looks great, and you are already doing at least two of the things on it so you should be super proud of yourself! Remember we dont get to choose what triggers us, just how we respond to it and you are doing that! In fact, despite low mood and some real challenges you are activity fighting your OCD which sounds exactly like a warrior to me! ?? I too would love to start a business and i'm building towards it, but OCD sure does get in the way sometimes. Anyway hope today is a brighter day for you stay strong! -

Obsessions quiet - still feel ****?
Faultybraintank replied to Faultybraintank's topic in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Hey, Just wanted to say thank you @snowbear for your reply. It helped a great deal. -
Hi there everyone, I was hoping for some guidance on something i'm going through at the moment. I've had several big successes by using ACT and ERP in the last 2 weeks, so much so that I'm really starting to be able to see my thoughts and worries as just that! In fact, my mind is so much quieter. However, I dont actually feel any better in my body? Im still exhausted, have a headache, and feel anxiety in my body generally even though the thoughts aren't zapping me as much, and generally feel pretty yuk. Which is a bit of a shock to me because I though once the fog started to clear OCD wise I would feel great. Also, Im still doing my ERP, but my response prevention seems to be way harder as i'm just not noticing so many intrusive thoughts. Maybe this is reassurance seeking, but i was wondering whether anyone had any advice. Ive been under the fog of OCD for a long time so I guess it may take a while for my body and systems to adapt? Any advice, or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance OCD tribe

Thursday morning zoom support group
Faultybraintank replied to BelAnna's topic in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
@BelAnna I wont be appearing on camera either. lol. I might try and show my work somehow, but haven't figured that out yet. Plus big anxiety to overcome. Basically it sounds similar to the way support groups are run and you can talk or use chat or camera if you like but you dont have to. here the link if you are interested : https://www.ocduk.org/drawing-with-zoe/ -
Real Events that Cause Anxiety
Faultybraintank replied to Mulligan's topic in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Hey Mulligan, how are you feeling now? Real event ocd is so tough as OCD likes to exaggerate what happened. Try an ride the wave of anxiety if you can. hope you are ok!
