Guest PrincessJenna
It is so strange that there may be a connection between the Myelin Sheath and OCD. I was never aware of that. I have been doing research on the connection between it and Fibromyalgia which I also have. Myelin is an insulating layer that forms around nerves. It is made up of protein and fatty substances. The purpose of the myelin sheath is to allow rapid and efficient transmission of impulses along the nerve cells. If the myelin is damaged, the impulses are disrupted. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002261.htm Also my mother had MS which is connected to a thin myelin sheath.
