I found it really quite interesting and thought that the symptoms were loosely similar to OCD. Both the mum and her two kids suffered from the disorder and their house seemed to be in total chaos most of the time. Although the two kids fought all the time and were noisy and hyper, they were also very talented in certain areas. Like OCD, they get impulse thoughts that they cannot control and have to act on them immediately, hence the reason they become hyper. Again, it's because of a chemical imbalance in the brain. ADHD is also treated with therapy and medication. Be good to hear anyone else's view. Stevie Link to comment

catherine Posted February 4, 2005 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Hi stevie I didn't see the program, but the more I read, the more I'm realising that all these conditions eg Tourettes, OCD, ADHD, Aspergers etc all sit on the same spectrum of disorders and have a lot of connections. If only we could examine the brain in the same way we can a stomach or heart Link to comment
