Hi all,

As ive said before ive been finding it difficult after my main stretch of CBT, but ive still been working at it , at the moment i ran out of ideas so what ive done is to everytime i get a ocd thought ive deliberatly done what its trying to stop me to do, ( i can do this now after cbt and coming to terms with ocd, i dont think its a good idea before)

so say i went in the kitchen and my brain said right if you cook egg on toast with that particular egg , 'A' will happen, so ive thought right you and deliberately used that egg!

( i just read that oh dear! lol)

It seems to be working not sure if its the right thing to do, but i thought nothing to loose.

hope your all doing ok.

Hi Summerleft,

Your doing exactly the right thing, well done and keep it up! The more and more you expose yourself to the fear the easier it will become in the future to ignore the OCD thought, thats what CBT has taught me.

Nice one Summerleft!

Definitely the right thing to do  , i've found the more you expose yourself to the things you worry about the easier it becomes after time.

Tommo :)
