Prozac

Hi all just wondering if anyone knows roughly how long it takes Prozac to leave your system when you stop taking it?

Seeing that a gradual withdrawal programme is going to be needed to come off any medication you can expect prozac to be in your system for a few weeks yet. That said check it out with the doctor

I think it would depend on what dose you were on! If you are on 60mg I have been told it can take 5 weeks for the drug to completley leave your body! If you are getting side effects these may go before that time though! A doctor would want someone starting on MAOI's (cannot be taken with prozac) to wait until they have been off prozac for five weeks! hope this helps,warren
