That way people will know how bad OCD really is. Anyway, well done. :clapping: Edited February 19, 2010 by Will321 Link to comment
Guest fali
Hi guys we all know that depression at times can make us sad and sometimes feel unloved and alone. This is just a poem that I wrote and hope it may cheer you guys up who are perhaps feeling a little down. My love for you is an emotion so sweet and so pure A type of love that I find no difficulty to endure My love for you is powerful and bright The love I feel for you is better then the starlight at night When I close my eyes I think of your smiling face If I looked at every other woman in the world that smile could still never be traced When I look into your eyes so beautiful yet so blue Afterwards I realise my love for you grew and grew even though I never knew When I look into my heart I see my love for you is still strong The day I married I realised this was a love that will last forever long. Guest Freeatlast
Thus far in life my greatest cross has been my illness but ironically had I not been a sufferer I never would have met the one person in life who taught me one of the greatest lessons I've ever learned. I met him through an ocd organisation. We never had a physical relationship but we were two bodies and minds sharing the one soul. You see he loved me completely. When I looked in the mirror all I saw in my eyes was the pain of being sick. But when he looked in my eyes he saw a beautiful smart witty compassionate interesting unique and simply wonderful human being. Imagine that? And the lesson he taught me? It's simple. I am enough. I am enough. And thus began the long slow journey of recovery. He gave me back myself. With love Carol x Link to comment
Guest Hunnibee
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Hi Rocastle, Very impressed with the poem, You never told me you were greative like that on Saturday. Newbloke.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Well known fact that all sufferers are creative <img src="http://www.ocdforums.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/original.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="original.gif" /> Yet to figure out what my creative skill is, but I am sure I have something. Hi Ashley Is it really a fact that sufferers are creative...I have always dreamt of being a writer and love to write poetry and stories... but these days I don't feel anything I write is any good. I am creative in other ways, I like to make things, and I am currently knitting blankets for an animal shelter I volunteer at (I like to keep busy!) I would love to know if there really are any links in people suffering with Ocd's having a creative side, it would be wonderful for us to be able to say to people "Yes, I have this...but read this, we may have disadvantages but we can also be amazing too!!" Triple
Yesterday, during a work conference, we met a poet who talked about people's ability to write poetry. It was a fascinating talk and I wanted to utilize some of the techniques he shared. Basically giving it a go. Felt it could be quite a therapeutic thing. As it's matchday I thought I'd write about supporting teams. Support your local team Dreams shattered constantly Restricted by location Denied by occupation A matchday conversation Often lacking jubilation A glimmer of hesitation Matched with anticipation Yet... Backed through thick and thin Supporters lifelong, regardless of wins. The colours worn Replaceable, sure, but always proudly shown. Represented yearly, loved dearly Support your local team Link to comment
