Some ways I hav used in the past are hitting a pillow while shouting at it saying out loud I'm really angry you ocd why don't you just shut up(or something else that is appropriate)because if you speak out loud your anger it stops it from boiling up within. screaming out loud in a secluded place. writing my thoughts down to get them out of my head Link to comment

Guest heavenbound alien Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I think the key is to get rid of your anger without hurting yourself or others.With ocd there seems to be many different emotions attached like fear,anxiety,sadness and anger and it takes a while before you recognise what you are feeling at the moment of the thought.I think writing down what happened at the time of the thought and how you feel,what or who that feeling is directed to. So sometimes I might feel angry with myself because thoughts keep coming into my head but then if I reclassify them as ocd I need not be angry with me but with ocd. I have a very sturdy vase. Guest postalpostie Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 when you get angry and you can't get rid of it your adrenalin starts to build up. this is bad. do anything that releases it. go for a run take up kick boxing buy your self a punch bag and use it. head bang to heavey metal music in your room.
