To me she certainly isn't a celebrity and the average Jo Public probably hadn't even heard of her before yesterday, I had to look her up! If any of us made a gaff wouldn't we go someway to try and make amends?

She should take a look at our OCD-UK poster (I have these positioned in 3 of our local shops for at least this week).

This shows an abstract face distorted in turmoil, with the wording pointing out distress and anxiety from unwanted repetitive intrusions.

Now for many of us our inner turmoil is not so graphically spottable but nevertheless that bad.

Disorder runs riot.

That is what we contend with.

Well re the House of Lords, at least the founder of "The Big Issue" John Bird is entering too, so will redress the balance.

I agree with Carol & GBG.....her original gaffe could have been forgiven, maybe....it's her subsequent arrogance that can't!

Susanna Reid (in her defence) did at least attempt to address that OCD was a serious condition provoking panic, anxiety, distress (unsuccessfully) .....Kate Garraway went down the silly, light-weight route and perpetuated the nonsense! I had no pre-conceived ideas about Lady None previously but have certainly formed some since......a self-centered, self-opinionated, fortunate, air-head... Whose only real concern is self-promotion and self-preservation.

I am hoping she was mindful of the 10-minute interview she conducted with myself and a couple of the young people from OCD Camp on BBC Breakfast a couple of years ago, although I guess she interviews lots of people.

She may be a very intelligent lady with lots of qualifications (I don't know) but that does seem to be her level, the niche she has made for herself.

Yes, self-promoting does seem to have become a theme this week, well since there was suddenly lots of media interest in OCD from about midday Tuesday.

I should say, I remained a "Twit", not a Troll and wasn't rude or offensive, purely corrective.

Perfect. The best technique I ever learned in dealing with people is to use "undeniable facts", so well done you

Still fuming about this.

Her tweet which said something along the lines of: 'if you want to succeed, you'll find a way. If you don't want to, you'll find an excuse.' This was basically saying - OCD sufferers use their OCD as an 'excuse not to succeed'.

She also said she was 'prepared to help the jealous bunch have a positive energy' bla bla bla. Thanks but, I don't think we need your help, Michelle. You've done enough.

Sorry, Ashley, I know you're right when you say there's no point getting wound up by this. But I'm REALLY wound up by it, I can't help it :-/

same programme carol !! same good morning britain that had mone on zzzzzzzzzzzz

No it is not, it is a different programme, different production team, different researchers and I may be wrong on this but I think the are in different studios. Let's wait to see what is broadcast first before we hang them.

Dr Lynne Drummond who is taking part, and with some of her patients who were filmed last week are specialists in OCD, this will not be a Michelle Mone type feature, Lynne will make sure the right message is put across, and I refer back to what I wrote last week where Dr Chris himself said he was shocked at how severe OCD can be. If that is the message aired, I for one will be very happy.

Yes but youre distracting from the fact that the article recruiting and clearly states for some its a quirk, but yes it is different team and programme, my apologies

Ok, they got the text wrong, that is unhelpful but maybe (and this is hoping) they intend to change people's belief about a quirk being OCD through the VT segments.

I'm sure with Lynne involved Ashley it will be awesome work of what ocd really is about, and huge thanks to those that have put themselves forwards but, just in context the texting is detrimental to the cause, or perhaps I'm being overly pedantic, to say the least

Regardless im sure the actual programme will be fine.
